Happy 4th of July

The day was filled with fun for the kids.  Late morning we went to the town parade which lasted an hour.  It was extremely hot.  We brought sunscreen and bottled water.  During the parade the kids got lots of candy and they were giving out bottled water and ice pops for only the kids and seniors (though we didn't need water I thought that was a great idea).  Oliver had his first ice pop and he loved it! We grilled out for dinner and had cake that Gabe, Lily and I made that morning.  It was a fun day but  hot!

This picture was up above with the rest of the kids but I pressed a button and it went to the end.  I'd like to think I was saving the best picture for last!-wink

The day at the Zoo

Brandon took off of work Thursday and Friday for my birthday.  Thursday there was storms throughout the day so we decided on Friday to go to the zoo.  I'm so glad we did, the weather was beautiful, it was in the low 80's and with being so close to the lake it had a nice breeze.  We did a lot of walking and tried to make our way throughout the whole zoo.   Before we left Noah, Gabe and Lily went on the carousel, Colin declined because he keeps on reminding us he's officially a preteen...Yikes!

 I love my daddy-Oliver B
