First Day of School

Gabe, Lily and Colin started school this Tuesday.  Brandon started work a little later so he could see the kids get on the bus.  That morning all the kids were overwhelmed with nerves and excitment.  Their first day was an easy day, it was only a half day of school (3 hours).  Colin got home first and was so happy that he met a couple of new friends.  With him being in 7th grade the school is getting the kids ready for high school so, his schedule is very much like that and he loves that.  Gabe was smiling from ear to ear he met a new friend name Reed and he was excited to start his first homework assignment reading for 20 minutes.  Gabe loves books and could read for hours.  Lily meet a couple new girls and she loves her new teacher Mr. Fauser.  He's in his early 30's, married and has a lot of energy.  Which I guess you would have to have being a 1st grade teacher.  She told me that Mr. Fauser told a boy "you need to chill dude", well a few times I heard her tell Gabe to chill dude then she would giggle.

Happy 4th of July

The day was filled with fun for the kids.  Late morning we went to the town parade which lasted an hour.  It was extremely hot.  We brought sunscreen and bottled water.  During the parade the kids got lots of candy and they were giving out bottled water and ice pops for only the kids and seniors (though we didn't need water I thought that was a great idea).  Oliver had his first ice pop and he loved it! We grilled out for dinner and had cake that Gabe, Lily and I made that morning.  It was a fun day but  hot!

This picture was up above with the rest of the kids but I pressed a button and it went to the end.  I'd like to think I was saving the best picture for last!-wink

The day at the Zoo

Brandon took off of work Thursday and Friday for my birthday.  Thursday there was storms throughout the day so we decided on Friday to go to the zoo.  I'm so glad we did, the weather was beautiful, it was in the low 80's and with being so close to the lake it had a nice breeze.  We did a lot of walking and tried to make our way throughout the whole zoo.   Before we left Noah, Gabe and Lily went on the carousel, Colin declined because he keeps on reminding us he's officially a preteen...Yikes!

I can't believe Oliver is already 7 months. Early this morning I was getting Oliver ready and took a few pictures of him in our closet. We're all in awe of him...I tell people he's like the kids pet. In the sense that before they leave for school they all give him a kiss and the first thing they do when they get home is ask about Oliver's day. When they have friends over they will always show them their baby brother and of course most kids could careless about a baby. Colin likes holding him and trying to make him laugh, which he does a great job of. At dinner time we do our favorite part of the day and Noah's is always coming home and seeing Oliver and mom. Noah's always reminding us how much he loves him and doesn't want to get rid of him (I told you Oliver reminds me of a pet). Gabe compliments Oliver daily. Gabe's always asking "Isn't Oliver the cutest baby ever" my answer is always yes but we're also bias. Lily loves cuddling with him and giving him lots of kisses and hugs. Again, have I mention how much we are in awe of him...love him so much!

Lily's 6th Birthday Party

Lily celebrated her birthday a week early due to another classmate was having his party on her birthday. So it ended up being on St. Patty's day! We decide not to do corn beef and cabbage and stick to pizza and cupcakes. Lily invited some friends from school and her cousin Paige they all had a blast! My mom came out and helped out with the party plus took pictures. Without her I would have had a handful of pictures and would've been one tired momma! Happy Birthday to our sweet Lily!
