For anyone looking for some great ideas for a wedding...There's a great website Younghouselove.com! Once you get on their page click on Wedding Alum. This Young couple had their wedding in the backyard. It's absolutely beautiful and the best part they only spent $3995.00. Their big splurge was renting a photo booth for $1200.00. You should check it out..(hint-hint Carie). Give me the green light and I start planning. LOL

Happy Birthday Dad

Today my dad would have celebrated his 60th birthday. But instead we took time in reflecting on our most fond memories of him. There are so many to choose from. I had in the recent months reconnected with a childhood friend. After a couple of e-mails I wrote to her and told her about my dad and she emailed me back with this: I'm so sorry about your dad!! I'm remembering us as kids/teens now and how funny he was. Remember when he took us to that pizza place in Saukville and they knocked on the wall when the pizza was done? We just thought that was hilarious and he thought we were crazy for laughing so much! Or when he busted us toilet papering your own house because we didn't want to make it obvious that we did the other yards and he said, "Get out there and clean that up, and by the way, your not supposed to toilet paper your own house!!" Or sitting in the Ray-mobile listening to his stories while he would drive me home from your house. And of course how we would get busted watering down his wine after we thought we were sneaky by drinking some of it.My how our lives has progressed and the things that have happened! For the good and the bad. After reading that message Dawn wrote I had tears just remembering all the hilarious memories and how great of a dad he was. He was a great listener who kept me grounded. He was funny even when he wasn't trying to be. Patient in answering any questions I had or helping me with my problems or school work. At times felt like he was the only one that really knew me from a child until an adult. At the end of the day I knew he loved me as his own daughter. I loved him just as much and a day does not pass that I don't think of him. Happy Birthday Dad!

Another Bathroom Almost Done

This week we started working on the kids bathroom. We have tile that we bought about a year ago from Home Depot in the clearance area. We painted the walls a grey and we are going to paint the cabinet a white with a tint of gray and the molding the same color. Wish us luck.

Brady's 9th Birthday Party at the Mineshaft

On Sunday the kids and I went to my nephews birthday Party at the Mineshaft in Hartland. It was a great time. They had pizza following with some fun games upstairs area. With each game you received some tickets and at the end you totaled up the tickets to pick out a prize or prizes all depending how many tickets. It was a perfect place to have a kids party. Happy Birthday to one cool kid..Brady!

Baseball

While I went to Brady's Birthday Party Brandon was at the Brewer's Game with my mom, Big Colin and Grandma. They had an awesome time but wished the Brewer's would have won.

Lily is Okay...

Sunday morning I was putting on some make-up and I heard some commotion in the boys room so I checked it out. I was in the room for a couple of minutes and when I returned this is what I walk into. Lily had gotten a hold of my bronzer. She had it all over her checks and eyes. It looked as though she got in a fight and lost. She was really upset when I told her that she had to take a bath to get it off. She thought she did a fine job. I might have thought about keeping it on but we had a Birthday Party in the afternoon.

I Heart Mojito's

Brandon and I had a date night Monday night. We had a wonderful time. Brandon had his regular drink (long island ice tea) while I had a mojito margarita. I have never had a mojito before but I now found my new drink. If it wasn't for our errands we had to run after dinner I think we would have been sitting at the bar all night. Oh, yeah that's right we only had our babysitter for 2 hours. So, I don't think we could have done to much damage.

Bubble Blowing

Before I mowed the lawn today I let the kids blow some bubbles. Colin and Lily had so much fun blowing bubbles. I had such a blast watching them. Noah and Gabe more or less dumped the bubble solution out. But Noah tried to share some of his bubble solution with Gabe. It's always nice to see the two of them sharing.

Swimming or Fruit Salad?

Thursday I had to take Lily to a doctor appointment and Gabe wanted to join us. Meanwhile Brandon took Colin and Noah to the beach for some swimming. After the doctor I took the kids to go grocery shopping. When we got home I treated them to a delicious fruit salad. But I think Lily would have rather went swimming with the boys hands down and Gabe wanted seconds.

You've Got To See This If You Haven't Already

I have watched this with Brandon and the kids so many times. It makes you want to do a dance off. ENJOY..

More Beans

Just when you think there isn't anymore there's a lot more. This afternoon the kids and I picked more beans from the garden. I am so sick of them. But Colin, Noah and Brandon are loving the greens. They eat them either raw or cooked with butter and garlic. But I am thinking sooner or later they have to get sick of them. Let's hope....

A To Do List

Brandon made me a list of things that needed to get done. Brandon helped me download my pictures to the computer tonight and he came across this picture. I don't think he will ever give me a list again.

Lily Leaving the Boys Behind

On Sunday we took the kids to the park near the beach so they could dry off. Lily started off playing with her brothers and noticed a group of girls playing so Lily invited herself over to them. She started playing with the girls and following them around. Brandon and I couldn't believe how much she's grown into a little girl. The boys tried to get Lily to come over and play with them but she wanted to play with girl instead. She was sad when they left. She told me that her friends left without her.
