Time Away

We have a babysitter set and making plans to go out of town for the night. It's not for a few more weeks but we are looking at different areas to go. Brandon's in charge of where we are staying and I'm in charge of what we'll be doing (shopping, dinner, movie, coffee shop and hiking later in the morning before we head back home) only a few things I have up my sleeve.

Fun For The Kids

The kids are loving this book. Looking forward to making Halloween cupcakes.

I'm Thinking White...

I'm thinking of trading our paint color in our bedroom for something that is simple and classic. Our room color is a chocolate and I'm loving the color white. If only I could talk my husband into painting the room. Did I mention how wonderful he is?!!

Fall Is Finally Here

It was dark by 6p.m. and we had our Mulled Cider candle going with the aroma lingering the house. Only to remind us Fall is here.

Great Visit

September 19, 2009 Brandon's Aunt lives in Arizona and came up to Wisconsin for a 10 day visit. She is an amazing lady who is so much fun to be around. She lights up a room with her smile and laughter. She is so funny she makes me laugh all the time. She also very strong she is fighting for her life and is battling cancer so far she is winning the fight. We all are so proud of her. She's so loving and cares about each and everyone in her family When we found out Colin was diabetic she sent us books on the disease and even now she sends me any new articles she finds. She is very special to our family. We love her very much and she is always in our prayers. On Saturday Brandon's dad and Aunt Carol came down to spend sometime with our family. We had a wonderful visit. Last minute I got a babysitter for the kids so we could go out for dinner. We went to Chili's.
Brandon told the waitress that it was Brandon's dad's birthday(it was in late August). So of course they sang to him and I think he liked it. He got a scoop of ice cream with a tortilla chip on top lit like a candle. Brandon then shouted He's 60 a few times and Brandon's dad was saying no I'm 59.
'
One to many Long Island Ice Tea. Brandon was on top of Aunt Carol's rental car shouting Long Island Ice Tea and I was the lucky one to go home with him. Hip Hip Hooray.

A Day With Grandma

September 17, 2009 On Thursday I picked up my grandma late morning at my mom's house. My grandma was dog sitting for my mom the whole week. While she was at work and Big Colin was out of town (Canada) on a fishing trip with some friends. So, Lily and I picked up grandma and had to come back to pick up Gabe at school at 11. Then we all went out for lunch at Panera Bread and then went to Fontana to a pumpkin farm. We love going there because I can get all my decorations for the front of the house and they have many things for kids to do there. They have a fort made out of hay and they also have a corn maze.
Then we came back to the house so we could catch up and grandma could see all the kids when they got home from school. We had a wonderful dinner together. Over dinner I found out Grandma is Jon and Kate's #1 fan. Yikes! Then I told her I wrote to the View telling them that I couldn't believe that they were having Kate as a guest co host and how crappy parents they are. We had a 5 minute discussing and ended with Brandon being a mediator. All in fun.
My mom came over around 7 and we heated up her dinner and the kids had dessert. Once they went to bed we talked and had many laughs with some tears. It seems when it's us 4 together we have so much fun. We all start laughing at everything and when we laugh you can't stop. It was a wonderful visit and it's always a treat to spend time with my Grandma.

She's A Keeper

Lily is so funny and sweet. She makes me laugh all the time and you love being around her. Since it's just us girls spending the morning together we have been enjoying our morning walks, running errands and checking out some of the local parks. We spend 8-11 a.m. together and then we pick up our much missed Gabe from kindergarten. Here are some pictures I snapped from this passed week. Enjoy.

Colin and Gabe's First Day Of School

September 8th Gabe and Colin started school. The first day of school there was a lot of running around. Gabe received a breathing treatment minutes from walking out the door. Gabe has really bad asthma during allergy season. We decided at the very last minute to send Gabe to Kindergarten. I am glad we did he loves school and it's only half day's.
When Colin got home I asked him if he had a good day and he said "No, I had a Great day. While the boys had a snack Colin and Gabe were telling me about the bus ride to school. They had some funny stories about the bus and school.

The Fair

Sunday September 6th our family visited the Walworth County Fair and had a great time. We saw some animals, trucks, good food, went on some rides and played a couple of games. The kids are already looking forward to next year.
